Project Summary
The new Harvey-1 Data Well was drilled in early 2012 in the South West of WA to reach the Lower Lesueur formation (~3km depth). There, it obtained rock core samples and other physical data to reduce gaps in geological knowledge and help assess the suitability of the formation for CO2 sequestration. The geophysical data sets obtained from the Harvey-1 Data Well will be analysed, using a range of advanced techniques, to address regional imaging difficulty and to develop an optimised imaging quality of faults. Characterisation of in-situ stress orientation will also be provided; underpinning both the fault seal and top seal analysis.
