Techno-Economic Analysis

The objective of the Techno-Economics Analysis (TEA) program it to understand the differences of the diverse range of cost estimates and their implications in the absence of Low Emission Coal Technology (LECT) plants for the commercial deployment of its 2nd generation, and also to be able to link to international estimate basis. It requires establishing a consistent basis and standard for communicating the level of uncertainty inherent in cost estimates to enable a rational assessment of the value and integrity of the estimate and the reliance that can be put on it.

The TEA program will evaluate tools and methodologies for incorporating this uncertainty into policy making, resource planning and LECT investment decisions.
